Anthropologie Seersucker Pants

3 May

Seersucker is for summer. I like the whole “Great Gatsby” feel of them. What makes me really happy is when it’s modernized with an interesting pattern.

The Anthroplogie catalouge also came in last night. I love Anthropologie. But, I generally cannot afford them. I kind of think the money is worth it because I like thier design element. But, it’s just not in my budget. That, and thier stuff does not fit me paticularly well.

Have a look at these $88 ‘whale watching’ seersucker pants. I have two shades of seersucker waiting to get made into something.

These pants look an awful lot like Vogue 8131.

My only concern is that the very talented Erica B. seems to be the only one to make them work on PR.

Are you able to get to an Anthropologie store to try them on? That way you can critique the fit – what you do/don’t like. I think the key will be to get a good fit in the hips & crotch, then just let the wide legs steal the show!

*LOVE* that vogue pattern. May have to splurge for it. (No way anthropologie, or most any other brand, is going to fit my “whale-watching, whale-sized” butt! – Never mind the thighs! LOL..this may be the only pattern that has hems wider than my thighs!)
    Thanks for the tip.

Christina. So smart. Must be the Army Brat in you! They are in stock at my local mall. Will try them on this weekend and see how I feel about them.

    Dawn,
I too will have to wait for the Vogue pattern sale. I’m saving my expensive pattern purchases for HotPatterns.

Have you looked at Simplicity 3756 or 4237? I just happened to be looking at the simplicity catalog at Wal-Mart, saw these and thought of you and this post.
