Here’s a, ‘I don’t have time to sew rant’.
New job is hard. Really hard and challenging in all the good ways. I have meetings the rest of the week and next that should run until 7:30 at night or so.
When am I going to get time to sew? At 10 last night I was cutti
ng out interfacing for the muslin of my BWOF capri pants. This evening in my meeting I was imagining my coral print fabric from Gorgeous Things as the BWOF Dolman dress (thanks for the idea Carolyn). I was wearing my Cosmopolitan and trying to think how I would make it up again and how to better stabalize the neckline (wee bit o’ gaping).
I just want to do a little sewing. But, I’m pooped. Already.
I know how you feel. I steal 10 and 15 minutes at a time and keep chugging along. Often, the first few minutes gets me on a roll, but sometimes, progress just happens in little baby steps.

I am sewing all the time since work is my sewing. But when it’s for other people, it’s work. I only get to sew for me on some weekends. Can’t sew worth a darn at night.

Yes, this is how I make it through the tough days at work too! And I should really stop calling my new job new since I have been there almost 7 months but it still feels new and hard. I don’t even look at my sewing stuff during the week – sewing is for the weekend because I just don’t want to take the pleasure out of it!
