Look what West Elm has! Check out the one with scissors and a needle and thread. How fab would those be in your sewing room?
While I am plugging away on my coat muslin, I’m also working out a little mini-wardrobe for the PR contest in August. I’m thinking a swimsuit wardrobe would be fun and timely for my two weeks in Panama in mid August. I’ve acquired my fabrics and coordinated the colors. It’s just a matter of picking out the designs and pulling it all together. But, seeing as how I now have two official UFOs and two half muslins in the sewing room, I may be fooling myself.
A friend recently came back from Egypt and stopped by the office today. He was loaded down with Egyptian cotton for me! This is about the softest cotton I’ve ever touched, but not as light as batiste. Right now, I’m honestly thinking about some nice slips. He tells me they will get softer with each wash.
And finally, a fabric hostess gift from Deepika
It’s a beautiful burnt orange with gold details. They are supposed to be made up in to pants, a top and matching scarf.
So, I’m quite literally drowning in fabric and back on my diet!
