Our First Sponsor…

Hello Kittens!

I have some exciting news that a few of you may have noticed. Miss Celie’s Pants has a new sponsor! Well, our first ever sponsor!  Cynthia, the owner of FabricWorm.com, approached me after a recent blog post. If you check the upper left hand corner, you’ll see a link to her site.

I’m flattered beyond belief! I think this as an awesome opportunity to try some new things using fun prints from what are typically seen as quilting cottons.  The first of which is a project I have wanted to do for a very long time. But, I’ll post on that when the fabric arrives later this week.

Actual sewing on a project soon, I promise!

  1. That’s awesome !!! Congratulations on your 1st sponsor ever, MissCeliesPants deserves it ! I can’t wait to see what you’ll sew with these fabrics. I’m already in love with these springy colors.

  2. Oooh, they have cute stuff! Congratulations!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see what you make!

  3. I’m not sure I know exactly what it means to have a sponsor on a blog. Does this mean you have to include word ads in your posts, and promote the site’s fabric beyond all others? And, does the sponsor provide you with free supplies, etc. I’m just curious, that’s all. Sounds interesting.

  4. I made my first skirt ever out of a quilting fabric, and my dearly beloved thinks it’s adorable. Too bad the only color I have to match it is white! Congrats on the sponsor; hope you get many fun fabrics!

  5. Oh, they have some of the cutest fabrics! I must get some of the birdie fabrics. Like I haven’t worked on a project with little birds recently.

  6. Thanks so much for all of your kind words. I’m so excited about this new Partnership and Adventure. I just can’t wait to see the fabrics transformed into beautiful pieces of Art! Maybe it will inspire me to not work so hard, and finally get back to sewing!

  7. A sponsor? Really? Is this the start of a career change?
Funny, that Knip Mode dress was on my list last year, and in fact I turned back flips to get the pattern, but alas, never got it made up. I need to do that this year. Have the linen and everything. Check, I think both Sigrid and NancyK made this up, and there are some things to be aware of.

  8. Congrats on the sponsor, that’s awesome!
Funny….the orientation of the fabric swatches pic is making me think of LOTS of juicy, fabric covered buttons!!!! To put on just anything!! I think fabric covered buttons will have to be incorporated into whatever my “must sew” stuff for spring/summer ends up being, lol. Wheeee!
