Well, Youngstown, OH to be exact. I’m visiting my middle school BFF this upcoming weekend and I’ve begged for stops at the Rock and Roll Hall or Fame and the West Side Market. If you’re in the Youngstown area and have any suggestions for fabric shopping (not that I’m buying but I’m always curious) or other such craft endeavors in the area, please let me know!
I’ve been absentee 😦 Work has been all-consuming. I didn’t have heat in my house for over a week and slept at friends’ . The alley behind my house was too icy for the oil delivery truck and about four feet of 
snow and ice were covering the delivery spout. There has also been no satellite TV for the last three weeks since the ice filled gutter pulled down my power line and my satellite dish. I do have power now after calling BGE TWICE, but DirecTV can just suck it. I have about $2,000 worth of damage to the house from the snow and ice. And, again, work is all-consuming and dicey. Ahh, the life of a spoiled American 🙂 No TV! No heat! Busy at work! LOL.
Oh, one last thing. Are any of you in a community with Meijer?? Because.. *cough* they sell nail polish that I can’t find here 🙂 I thought I would do it in Youngstown — but they don’t have one. Mission accomplished!! TY
And, I have not forgotten about the trench. It is drafted and partially muslined. But, with no heat… I couldn’t take sewing in my basement. Brrrr. I *think* it’s coming along well. It’s going to be a fit issue right now. I *think*. It’s slow sewing. But, I don’t plan on finishing it until mid April.

Cidell,I grew up on Cleveland’s West Side,within walking distance of the West Side Market….when I used to visit my mom, I liked to get fresh buttermilk and cracklin biscuits to eat while we shopped. Sorry, but I can’t help you with fabric shopping ideas for the Cleveland area. However, I live in the Western suburbs of Chicago now, and I’m near a Meijer. What kind of nail polish do you want? It might take me a week or so to get over there, but I’d be happy to pick some up…payback for all the great reading you’ve provided me!

oh yikes, I am so sorry to hear about the extent of the snow damage. We lost some shrubbery but it was old and needed to go, anyway. And the fence in the back was wrecked, but that’s just a trip to Home Depot for some DIY repair action.

Definitely go to the West Side Market – I used to live there, and that was a must-do stop every week. There’s a little Middle-Eastern restaurant round the corner – can’t remember what it was called, but it was delicious. (And famous.)
Oh, and do you like Cincinnati-style chilli? If so, Skyline Chili – Cleveland has a couple of locations. (Youngstown might as well.)
Didn’t sew at all when I lived in Cleveland, sorry! No fabric store suggestions. But if you do want to head to Toronto, there are tons of fabric stores here. 🙂

And your oil delivery problem is why we switched to natural gas last year. Since I’ve had serious health issues this year, I couldn’t have survived being without heat; I offer you my sympathy!
